We need volunteers to join our Purim Parking Lot Party cast! This event will take place outdoors on Sunday, February 21 between 1:30 and 4:00 PM. Volunteers will be assigned a 1.5 hour time slot. 

Descriptions of the different parts of the cast are below. Please sign up for one part. All cast members are responsible for making their own costumes that will fit over their winter coats.

King Ahashverosh (four parts available): A powerful king of Persia, Ahashverosh expects everyone to obey him unquestioningly. Costume ideas: crown, cape, sword

Vashti (one part available): Former queen of Persia. Vashti refuses to entertain guests at King Ahashverosh’s feast, and is banished. Costume ideas: crown, jewelry, gown

Esther (four parts available): Hero of the Purim story. A young Jewish girl living in the capital city, Shushan, she is chosen by King Ahashverosh to be his new queen. She doesn’t tell him, however, that she is Jewish. Costume ideas: purple dress or shirt, crown, jewelry

Mordechai (four parts available): Esther’s cousin. He saves the king’s life when he overhears a plot against the king. Mordechai incurs the wrath of Haman. Costume ideas: crown, jewels, cape, beard

Haman (three parts available): The king’s vizier (chief adviser). Haman wants everyone in the kingdom to bow down to him, but Mordechai refuses. This leads Haman to decide to kill all the Jews. Costume ideas:  three-cornered hat

Horse (one part available): The King's horse. Costume ideas: brown clothes, tail
