They will share funny stories, Yiddish mistakes, and little-known facts they uncovered while writing their best-selling Dictionary of Jewish Words and their new book, The Whole Spiel: Funny essays about digital nudniks, seder selfies and chicken soup memories.
Sisterhood cordially invites all genders. Content is appropriate for all ages but may be more interesting to adults. This event is free and registration is required!
For more than 15 years, Joyce Eisenberg & Ellen Scolnic, The Word Mavens, have shlepped around the country to shmooze with Sisterhoods, Men’s Clubs, JCCs, seniors and communal groups, sharing their insights from years of researching and writing about Jewish life. Since the spring, they’ve been Zooming around the country to speak to their audiences.
"Everyone is still talking about how funny it was. Our members loved everything about your talk. They said it was the best program we ever had."
– Barbara Goldstein, Sisterhood Pres., Temple Beth Tikvah, Wayne, NJ
