Social Action: Mitzvah Day

Mitzvah Day

Mitzvah Day has grown substantially since its inception in 1997 and now draws well over 300 members who work in the spirit of tikkun olam, repairing the world, to assist 25+ community organizations.
Mitzvah Day is for all ages

Here are just a few examples of the many projects that take place on Mitzvah Day:

Our Junior Choir performs at a local nursing home
Meals are cooked and served for a nearby homeless shelter
Art projects and athletic clinics are provided for the mentally challenged
Hospice We beautify grounds at a local hospice
Flower Pots Our children decorate flower pots for senior citizens
Carnival We run a carnival for children at a nearby homeless shelter

And much, much more!

Our commitment to Mitzvah Day represents much more than a day of good deeds. Many of the organizations that we assist on this day are ones that we now partner with throughout the year as continue our pursuit of social action and social justice!
