Education: Adult Learning

Adult Learning

Julie Vanek, Director of Lifelong Jewish Learning

Lori Solon & Ellen Glovsky, Co-Chairs

Temple Shalom aspires to be a congregation of lifelong learners because we believe that Jewish learning has value for its own sake (Torah Lishmah) and that active participation in Jewish learning is a pathway to Kehillah (building community), Kedushah (enriching spirituality), Brit Olam (sustaining Jewish continuity and Tikkun Olam (repairing the world).

We invite you to join us for absorbing and stimulating adult learning experiences.  Our yearly program includes courses and events sponsored by the Adult Learning Committee as well as other Temple groups.  This lends variety and enrichment to our learning experiences.

As much as possible, we consolidate our Adult Learning courses on Thursday evenings.  We hope to create a community of learners, helping us make real our values of kehillah (community) and Torah Lishmah (lifelong learning).
